Weekend in NYC

For a weekend post, this one is pretty late. As you may have guessed, I spent the weekend with Kate in New York. It was a wonderful weekend—pretty laid back, but wonderful.

Chop up grape tomatoes, a small amount of green pepper, white onion, and garlic (mince)

in a medium skillet, add one tablespoon of of olive oil, salt, pepper, fennel, Italian seasonings and heat on medium.
add chopped onion, green peppers, and sauté until onion is translucent

add chopped tomato and garlic and cook 2 minutes

add one to two cups of red wine and reduce 5-8 minutes

Lazy Weekend (and a broken camera)

I have had an incredibly lazy weekend. Yesterday, I had the house to myself. After a ridiculous amount of Grey's Anatomy, several naps, and a bag of popcorn I sat down to do some reading. Once again I can not tell you how much I love Coralie Bickford Smith's hardcover designs for Penguin Classics. I am a few chapters into The Woman in White and boy is it good! (I am also pretty far into Little Women, which also has a beautiful cover!)

In other news: my camera is temporarily out of service! I have to take it in to get the "line out dock" fixed. So until it is back in service (or my CF reader arrives from, I will not be posting my own photos.

My 6 year old Canon. Please don't die.

In the meantime I have been pinning like crazy! you are amazing. Below are some of my favorite interiors.
