ZooLights at the National Zoo

Sunday night we went for a little stroll through the National Zoo after dark to view ZooLights. Hot Cocoa in hand, we walked the five minutes down the street, entered the Zoo, and walked around for two hours in awe of the thousands of lights.

The pictures didn't come out as clear as I was hoping for,
but still capture a little bit of the magic.

Rock Creek Park Entrance

Connecticut Avenue Entrance

Projector lights and 'glowing' messages lit the walkways

Glowing animal displays were placed perfectly
throughout the park

Aquarium theme: a giant squid, stingrays,
sea grass, shells, and fish

The animals were the main attraction for most.

However, I preferred the trees.

blue ones..

and green ones

multicolor trees

and yellow trees

pink

and more pink
The Think Tank was lit beautifully! My favorite!

ZooLights, at the National Zoo, runs from
Dec. 3-5, 10-12, 17-23, 26-30, and Jan. 1
5:30-8:30 p.m.
